Time to Move On...

As a valued Supporter of The Chocolate Wrapper, we just wanted to update you on some exciting news - we have sold the business and it is under new ownership!

As of 15th October 2017, James Ward and Lauren Caisley (and their children!) will be taking up the reigns as the new Owners of The Chocolate Wrapper.

The Chocolate Wrapper was established in 2013 as a way of inspiring and encouraging our two 'chocolate-loving' teenagers (Sophie and Jess) to get up off their backsides to earn some cash! Launched very much with the idea of helping to give them a 'hand up' rather than 'hand outs', it quickly went on to become a successful family business winning an Award as the 'Best New Business' from the Chamber of Commerce in 2014.

Herts Advertiser ArticleAlong the way we've featured in local papers, national publications and been voted as 'Fampreneurs' (an inspiring entrepreneurial family!) in a national poll. It has been a blast, we have never looked back and we have loved every minute of it.

In addition to that, so much good has come off the back of the business with our charitable chocolate events - The Chocolate Ball, The Chocolate Tea Party and Random Acts of Chocolate. These events have resulted in raising over £15k for our local Hospices, have provided fun-packed 'Chocolate Tea Parties' for isolated old people and given literally hundreds of worthy people, throughout the UK, a lift in their hour of need by receiving a free chocolate bar! It has been nothing less than a fabulous, fun journey and our charitable work will continue even after selling the business!

But the time is right for us to move on. As the girls start to fly the nest, it is time for us to take stock, review our situation and pass the batten onto another family who we hope will continue to fly the chocolate flag and take The Chocolate Wrapper to exciting new levels.

Whilst the selling of our family business is tinged with some sadness, we are also excited for the new owners - James, Lauren and their family - and wish them every success in writing the next chapter of The Chocolate Wrapper's story.

Thank you all for your support, friendship and help over the last few years. We have always been so encouraged by all our customers, friends and family who have been part of our journey and hope that you will continue to support James and Lauren as the new owners.

It is a fabulous business, great fun and we wish The Chocolate Wrapper every success in the future.

Now to put our feet up and start thinking about our next intiative!
